TALKING THERAPY

What to expect from talking therapy

It can be hard and overwhelming to open up and talk to someone. Friends and family often mean well, and offer as much support as they can, but can tend to offer opinions or solutions.

Talking therapy with a trained professional is very different. The relationship is based on a contract between you and your therapist, is confidential, non-judgemental and, at its heart, is seeking to offer you empowerment to gain your own resolution.

I have found, over the years of practicing hypnotherapy and NLP, that sometimes my clients just want to talk - and/or to simply be heard.

That is why I undertook a Certificate of Achievement in Counselling at QLS Level 3, so that I could respond in the right way and with empathy. Enabling me to understand the strict therapeutic boundaries between myself and my client, and have a solid knowledge of counselling modalities that may be helpful when supporting my client’s needs.
